Commemorative window to Rev. Carl ''Charles'' Ernst Cossman, German-born pastor to the congregation for over forty years.
Immediately
upon his ordination, he emigrated to Lunenburg and served not only the
local Lutherans, but German-speaking co-religionists around Nova Scotia.
Renowned for the thousands of kilometres annually that he covered on
horse-back to minister at remote outposts of Lutheranism, he continued
to travel and preach for years even after his official retirement at the
age of 70.
